This item can be used as a dolly. At the expense of image stability, using a wheelchair allows for more freedom of movement that a traditional dolly.

Many filmmakers have opted to use this method, everyone from Jean-Luc Godard to Michel Gondry (Gondry did it because he liked the look. Godard did it because he was flat broke)
