Dimmer In Stock Now

Used with compatible bulbs, this dimmer allows you to adjust the intensity of a light. This is great for creating a variety of effects. A common use is to adjust the practical lights within a scene so they are less "hot" and don't run the risk of being overexposed on camera.

For working with incandescent lamps, use only with 120 Volt, 60 cycles AC units.

This dimmer is rated for 1000 Watts. Our film lights can be found here.

One of the most famous uses of a dimmer is from the film Halloween, by John Carpenter. A dimmer was used by the cinematographer, Dean Cundey, to mimic the viewer's eyes adjusting to dark light. See "Additional Image" for stills from this scene.
